DAF xF Series

It has the most spacious cab in its class, offers top comfort to the driver and high revenues per kilometer to the operator. It’s a top performer.

Powered by a 24-valve, six cylinder DAF engine available in outputs from 280 kW (381 hp) to 390 kW (530 hp), the XF offers massive torque over a generous engine speed range. It’s economical too, incorporating several technical advances that reduce fuel consumption while still improving performance. The XF makes use of low-maintenance components too, which extends the service intervals, cutting operating costs further.

The driveline of the DAF XF is carefully balanced to optimize performance under all operating conditions, and make the most of the engine’s low fuel consumption. There’s a choice between a 16-speed manual or the latest AS-Tronic automated transmission to deliver power to the acclaimed DAF hypoid rear axle. There’s also a hub-reduction axle for more demanding applications like heavy haulage work.

The high-grade steel chassis of the DAF XF is strong yet light, and built for high payloads. In fact, its electronically operated disc brakes and other weight-saving technologies give the XF a significant payload advantage. The chassis has a flat-topped design, with many components mounted inside the frame to make it easier to body. This also provides more room for extra fuel tanks or a compressor.

The choice ranges from two-axle tractors and rigids to three- and four-axle configurations, including heavy haulage trucks with three rear axles for special applications.
